SO I really felt like I fell out of touch with eats with the tomato/basil leaf. Its not an expensive restaurant... they pride themselves on the fact that they are "cheap eats". I don't want to redefine what the restaurant itself stands for. SO I dropped them... back to the noodles :)
Correct me if I'm wrong?! I want to know what kind of restaurant you would think it was after seeing the logo...
I am also on the search for the perfect font to work with.
I'm glad you lost the tomato/basil thing. For some reason it didn't seem very appetizing. If I saw these logos the 1st thing I would definitely think is 'Italian restaurant'.
ReplyDeleteI really like the typeface for the top left. The serif is fun and loose, unlike other serif typefaces. Have tried shrinking the logo to see what it will look like? I ask, because I don't know if we lose the line quality with the noodles or not. If not, awesome. If so, maybe a way to simplify the noodle illustration? Just my thoughts on it. But again, I do like the direction for this design Melanie.
